WHAT IS BASICS? 

Your improv journey starts HERE! This 12-week course for beginners will  equip you with a solid improviser toolbox:

• ✨ Adopting a “Yes-and!” mindset
• 🏜️ Unleashing your imagination and your creativity
• 🏄🏾‍♀️ Embracing presence, connexion and trust
• 🎭 Learning key acting & public speaking techniques

FAQ

• I've never done improv before, is this class for me? 

Absolutely! This class requires no previous experience in improv or acting. But if you'd like to try it out first, you can join one of our taster classes and get a preview of our flavour of improv.

• Can I try the first class for free to see if I like it?

Nope! Once you're in, you're in. Want to try it out? Join a taster class!

• Can I do more if I like it?

We have improv masterclasses running throughout the week, as well as community events where you get to play with other improvisers. In addition, being a SPARK student means you get to watch our shows for FREE. Yes, 0, nada, niente, null! 

• In what language are these classes taught?

Our courses are taught in English. If English isn't your first language, fear not : it isn't ours either! We encourage folks with different levels of English to join our classes, and we teach an improv that doesn't rely only on verbal wit and language skills. You can say a lot with your body, your emotions and your unique voice.

• Are these classes accessible?

Our venues are wheelchair-accessible. We strive to provide an experience that is inclusive and accessible for all, by providing exercises or variations that accomodate for different levels of mobility. Accessibility also means financially. If you're having trouble coming up with the full payment, do reach out to us, as we offer specific payment plans for low income folks.

• What if the course is cancelled?

We will run this course with a minimum of 8 students. Below that number, we may chose to cancel the class. If we do so, you are entitled to a full refund.
