Service Description
THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO GENRES with Mash Muravina This 12-week course runs from Tuesday 14 April 2026 to Tuesday 30 June 2026, with a showcase on Thursday 25th of June. Have you always dreamed of improvising a car chase or a trial scene? Of playing a 17th courtier, a revengeful retired detective, a dragon hunter or a cyborg from 2150? Throughout the course you’ll dive into specific genres and explore their story lines, tropes, character archetypes and stylistic effects. Period drama, post-apocalyptic, action movies, detective… get ready to travel in time & space through improv. Working with genre-specific set-ups, premises and even real movie & theater scripts, you will learn tools to help you play, in style. This course requires some homework - but the nice kind: you’ll be asked to watch a movie each week - building your genres culture one frame at a time ;)
