Service Description
WHAT IS THE WORKOUT? The WORKOUT is our weekly scene work practice and it runs for 12 weeks, from Wednesday 24 September 2025 to Wednesday 10 December 2025, with a showcase on 10 December. In this course, you’ll explore the foundations of the two-person scene, dive into the mechanics of group scenes, and practice with a broad range of improv techniques. Your trainer will bring their unique improv toolbox to the classroom, and give you personalized notes and advice - always keepin' it fun and explorative. You can stay in this class long as you like - there’s always more to discover in improv. ❓ Should you take the WORKOUT? ✅ You’ve spent a year (3 terms) in the BASICS course (or you have completed at least 3 fundaments classes in other improv schools) ❤️ You feel comfortable and excited to jump into scenes 🚪 You’ve played the games and you know how to open (and close) an invisible door 🎯 You want to take it a little more seriously (but not too seriously) 🧠 You’re curious about tailored feedback 🔥 You’re ready to challenge yourself 💬If you have doubts on whether this course is for you, contact us, we are happy to help. 🎬 YOUR TRAINER Nathania Velasquez (she/her) has been active in the theater scene for over 15 years now. After finishing theaterschool in Den Bosch she joined several production houses as an actor. After moving to Amsterdam she started taking classes at Boom Chicago in 2015 and never looked back. She currently works as a freelance theater producer, director and teacher. Back home, on the Caribbean island of Bonaire, she is setting up her own theaterschool and production house for local kids and adolescents.

Cancellation Policy
* Payment: Students are required to pay the full course fee. If a student decides to drop out of the course at any point, they will still be responsible for paying the full fee. This also applies to students with specific payment plans and sponsorship. * Refunds: If SPARK cancels a course for any reason, a full refund will be issued to students. If one class is cancelled, we will make sure to reschedule it. We will run this course with a minimum of 8 students. If the minimum number of participants isn't reached, we will postpone or cancel the class and refund it entirely. * Attendance: Students are expected to attend all classes unless they have an emergency or prior engagement. Students may be asked to repeat the course if they miss more than three classes. * Individual responsibility: SPARK is not responsible for any decision made by a student to drop out of a course. Students are responsible for their own learning and progress throughout the course. * Conduct & Safety: We strive to hold welcoming, inclusive & intentional spaces.
