About the event
WHAT IS THE BOOTCAMP?
This is our long form course for our regular players, our seasoned improvisers - our SPARK rising stars! Over 12 weeks, we will explore one improv format to drill on core and advanced improv skills. The group of students will learn to play as an ensemble, develop a full-length show and get the opportunity to regularly perform in our monthly SPARK show.
This Bootcamp's theme is the Slacker 🔮
The Slacker is inspired by Richard Linklater's movie, where each character is on screen for only a few minutes before the film picks up someone else in the scene and follows them. In this improv take on the cult film, every new scene will have at least one character from the previous scene. The Slacker is a unique format, great to develop deep characters, and learn how to play storylines - with a twist.
