12 week intro course to learn the fun-dations of improvisation!
Service Description
🌱 THE BASICS Our BASICS course focuses on the core principles of improv and creates a playful and judgment-free environment for you to try, play, laugh, fail & learn. This is your first step into the magical art of pretend. Explore the outer edges of your comfort zone, alongside a group of adventurous & playful minds. Together, we will discover and practice the core principles and skills of improvisation. You will quickly feel more playful, more confident and, hopefully, in love with improv. 📆 SCHEDULE This course takes place on Tuesday nights, 19:30-21:30. It runs from Tuesday 22 September 2026 to Tuesday 8 December 2026, with a showcase on the last class. All lessons will take place at Hofplein Theater, except for 20 October (herfstvakantie). 💸 PRICE 350€ regular price. 380€ supporter price. 310€ solidarity price for low-income folks. 👩🏻‍🎤 YOUR TRAINER Bram (aka Kate Bjork) is an improviser, performer and teacher who started his theater career 20 years ago by complete chance. From there on, Bram always had a respect and hunger for the creative unknown.

After his formal theatre education, he started teaching improv in his hometown until he had the need to fly out. When he’s not teaching school kids how to play, Bram…is teaching adults how to play. Combining his practice of kendama with his improv roots, Bram seeks to help people (re)discover themselves and their creativity, which can often be forgotten through the grind we call everyday life. As an artist, Bram uses his improv skills to explore and combine any form of performing arts to create interactive experiences for festivals and other events. He sees an empty stage is an opportunity to share, connect and joyfully meld ideas.
